Pope Francis meets members of the Italian Union of Blind and Partially Sighted Persons (UICI), and encourages them to be signs of hope in Italian society as it faces difficult times, like their Patroness St. Lucy did.
Aim of the course is to educate participants on a range of ethical issues related to suffering and dying, palliative care and medically assisted death. The key-note lecture will be held by professor Ralf Jox of the Lausanne University Hospital, Switzerland.
